It's been a busy few days, due mostly to my own procrastination. Scheduling seems to have worked out okay, though; did my paper for Politics and the Mass Media last night, doing game theory for Theories of International Relations tonight, and tomorrow I'll do my composition for Theory II (how hard can it be to write a simple figuration prelude?). Conveniently, Emily and I have gotten busy at the same time.
DA was having some weird issues earlier; two submissions of mine didn't show up. Until I resubmitted them after the site maintenance period. So I deleted the resubmissions; unfortunately I did it right as
Demicalis was submitting a comment, so it got eaten in the shuffle. But, at least DA appears to be working properly again.
I got my new tripod today in the mail, a
Sunpak 6601UT. Only used it a couple times, but the two new deviations (Jorge and Palisades) were both taken with it, and it seems really solid; I'm happy with my purchase, and don't think I can do much better for $25 shipped. I've fiddled with it a bunch to familiarize myself with it; see, I'm not much of a believer in manuals. I'm sufficiently technically adept that I can generally make things work without them except in extreme cases. So when I learn to use something, it's by poking and prodding at it a lot. I'm sure I'm not alone in this; it may be a guy thing, though if that's the case I'm surprised there aren't more nuclear reactor accidents.
